Scott is the Chief Financial Officer of Sagent Advisors Inc. and one of the founders of the firm. He has been in the investment banking industry for over 20 years as a manager and banker. Prior to helping to launch Sagent, he was a Director at UBS in the Investment Banking management team where his responsibilities included expense management and oversight of infrastructure groups which provided services to the investment banking department. Prior to that, he was an Associate Director at UBS in the investment banking department in Los Angeles where he was a member of a team of former Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (“DLJ”) bankers that founded the UBS Los Angeles investment banking office in 2001. Before joining UBS, Scott was Head of Administration of DLJ’s Los Angeles office from 1993–2000. During his tenure there, the Los Angeles office grew from approximately 50 employees with annual revenues of $50 million to over 225 employees with annual revenues of $425 million and became the largest investment banking team in the United States outside of New York City. Scott is a graduate of Pepperdine University with a BS in Management and received his MBA in Finance from the Anderson School at the University of California, Los Angeles.
