Sagent Advisors provides seller advisory services to public companies, privately held businesses and private equity firms.  The senior bankers in our Sale & Divestiture Group founded and built the leading middle-market seller advisory practice on Wall Street while they were at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette.

Our Approach. We oversee each phase of the sale process, including due diligence, buyer identification, valuation, positioning of the business, contacts with buyers, management preparation, and structuring and negotiation of the transaction.

Buyer Knowledge. Our knowledge of middle-market buyers is extensive.  Together, our senior professionals have a broad and tested base of industry knowledge to draw upon, and have completed over 1,000 sales transactions.  They also have a unique understanding of as well as access to over 200 middle-market private equity firms through Sagent’s Private Equity Coverage Group and our senior professionals.

Senior Attention. We provide senior-level, hands-on attention throughout the assignment.  Your transaction is important to us and will not be used as a training ground for junior professionals.

Tailored Solutions. We believe that every sale assignment is unique, and we tailor our recommended approach to fit the individual circumstances and objectives of our client.  A broad auction process may be appropriate in some cases.  In other circumstances, a more structured and narrow approach is the best way to maximize value for our client while minimizing disruption to the business being sold.

Independent Stapled Financing. When pre-arranged financing is appropriate, we help clients secure a stapled financing product without the conflicts of interest inherent in financing provided by a sell-side advisor.  Due to our experience and broad range of lender relationships, we can locate the most attractive stapled financing for the seller ─ at no additional cost to our client.
